Our History
Innovation came to Sun Valley in the form of trains (engines) who were bringing the tourists to Blaine County for holiday adventures – thus 5B and the engines leading the trains to Sun Valley.
The Little Engine that Could” –as a children’s book and story about the little engine who scaled the mountain saying “I think I can, I think I can”.
In The Little Engine That Could, each train gives different reasons for why it won’t, or can’t, help. The lesson the book imparts is about the opportunity that you should do the right thing, no matter what... Tillie, the Little Blue Engine that could, came along, and did the right thing by helping deliver.
The little blue engine is, in fact, a female engine. ..The name Tillie came later in the 1991 film adaptation.
Thank you all for ensuring we make a difference in the Blaine County philanthropy landscape. I look forward to ensuring we are the Little Engine than Can.
